Here at Centered, we are acutely aware of the additional stress placed upon parents and guardians this year, particularly on mothers. Some, according to reports, have even left the workforce to care for children. This class is open to everyone, but our theme will be around parenting and the concept of "receiving," not just giving.
Emily Dicken will guide you through a relaxing flow focused on self-care.

Stepping into a yoga class can be daunting. You may find yourself in the wrong class, utterly confused, head spinning as directions in a foreign language come at you. But surely you have also heard of the immense benefits yoga brings to its practitioners. How does one get from point A to point B?
There is nothing we recommend more for someone new to yoga, than a beginner series. Students will receive special attention to find comfort in their bodies as they practice, and will learn how to adjust yoga to their needs in any season of life. We will touch upon yoga history, go through poses step by step, and generally make the yoga world much less intimidating. Our goal is to provide space for personal growth and to build confidence in our beloved students!

By coming to a deep understanding of who we are, we become wisely and compassionately aware. The heart of Zen is directly experiencing this awareness. It grants us genuine insight, which informs our actions in the world.
In this series, students will be introduced to the fundamental practices and philosophy of Zen, including the essential “returning home and calmly resting” concentration-meditation practice.
This series is appropriate for all students, from complete beginners to advanced practitioners in all traditions.
