As we learn the art of slowing down with self-care on April 7, all proceeds will support the mission of Autism Society Central Ohio (ASCO). ASCO provides education, support and advocacy for families and individuals affected by autism. Restore with us and discover more energy. Restore with us to provide more for ASCO.
Calm the body and mind as Kelly Schulze leads us through a 75 minute luxurious Restorative Yoga class. Slow down + open the body through gentle stretches with the comfort of blocks, bolsters + blankets. No yoga + meditation experience needed. Step in to fully relax, restore the body and mind to create more space and energy for yourself.
Autism is a bio-neurological disability that impacts the development of the brain in areas of social interaction, communication and cognitive function. While it it is the fastest growing developmental disorder, autism remains largely underfunded. 1 in 59 children are diagnosed with autism. Although diagnoses can be made at age two, most children are not diagnosed until the age of four or even later in life. Children with autism do progress, but early intervention is key.
Restorative yoga is a practice of simply learning how to relax and be in the moment. With the use of blankets, blocks, bolsters and straps you will ease into a pose to restore and enjoy the task of doing nothing.
This four week series will have a different focus each week, and give you tools to take this practice with you.

Enjoy vinyasa flow classes featuring energizing postures with added sculpting exercises inspired by bodyweight workouts. Eventually, savor relaxing and well-deserved stretches, restoration and meditation.
All classes implement elements of strength, balance and cardiovascular fitness, with each week honing in on particular muscle groups:
Kelly will guide participants through repeated posture practice to build muscle and neurological memories. Participants will learn to follow multi-step instructions while shaping body and spatial awareness. With practice of yoga in this compassionate, intentional, repetitive, step-by-step manner, individuals and caregivers will assemble a skill-set for daily stress reduction.
15 years as a high school teacher, Kelly has a presence that calms new students and allows long time practitioners to know that she is there to guide each of them on their journey. She has a passion to introduce yoga to new students, athletes, and for developing yoga classes for participants with special needs and their caregivers.
